Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Plotism processes and why. We collect as little as possible.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and login sessions.
- Purchases: what you bought, the amount, your billing country (for VAT) and Stripe payment references. Card details are handled by Stripe, not by us.
- Creators: profile information you publish, and payout details (IBAN or PayPal email) that only the creator and Plotism staff can see.
- Reports: the content of reports and, if you provide it, your email.
- Technical: essential cookies to keep you logged in. No advertising cookies.
- Usage statistics: we count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you personally.
Why
- To provide your account and the series you bought (contract).
- To pay creators and keep accounting and tax records (legal obligation).
- To keep the platform safe and handle reports (legitimate interest).
Who we share it with
- Stripe (payments), Supabase (database, login and video storage), Vercel (hosting) and Resend (login emails). They process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
- Our database and servers are located in the United States. Transfers of personal data from the EU are protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
- Creators see that a sale happened, not who bought it.
- Authorities, only when legally required.
How long
Account data is kept while you have an account. Payment and payout records are kept for 7 years because Dutch tax law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to processing, by emailing us. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the authority in your country.
